Zhang Ziyi and Takeshi Kaneshiro have both signed on to star in "Deng Dai" which translates to "wait" or "waiting." Yeah, I've been using my Rosetta Stone software. It shows doesn't it? Anyway , this will be the first time the pair has worked together since "House of Flying Daggers."
The film chronicles eighteen years in the life of a doctor and nurse who develop and forbidden love for one another. They must wait for many years before being allowed to be together.
Ok I know Asia loves forbidden romance stories, but doctor and nurse? Is that really forbidden? It happens all of the time on "Grey's Anatomy." Next will be a movie about a coffee shop employee and customer who develop an intense love but are not allowed to act on it due to strict employee/customer codes of contact.
Peter Chan will be directing the film and it will be released sometime in 2009.
